When I first moved to San Francisco in 1995, I tried Pasta Pomodoro when it had just opened up in North Beach. When I saw the menu, I was amazed at how cheap everything was. Well, of course, being as poor as I was, I had to give it a shot. I figured that if the food was half as good as the prices, I knew I would have found a real winner. Needless to say, I was honestly "blown away" by the food, and I started going back often. When I took my brother, Jeremy, there, he exclaimed "this is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco!! Whenever I come up to visit, we’re always going here." Try the gnochi with pomodoro or pesto sauce. For those craving a healthful alternative, order one of their "healthy pastas." I personally recommend the "Healthy Chicken."
